Warren County Public Library Newsletter, September, October, and November 2026. What's happening for Youth: Storytime every Saturday at 10am, no January. Home school Fridays: The 1st Friday of every month, Homeschool families will meet at 10am to learn from local programmers in our community! No January. Ready Set Grow Playgroup for ages 0 through 5 to meet at 10am on the first Tuesday of each month, no January, to hear stories, music, play, do activities and more! Playgroup with the Regional Office of Education (ROE): The second Tuesday of every month at 10am; hear stories, play with toys, and socialize with other parents and children; intended for young children 0 through 3. No ROE in May, Juny, or July. Family literacy night: Activity night for the family from 5:30 to 7pm on the third Tuesday of every month. No ROE in December, January, May, June or July. Special Thank you to the ROE for hosting these events.
Youth and Teen Club events: Dungeons and Dragons on Wednesdays from 5 to 7pm. All ages first meeting: September 16th, October 7th and 21st, November 4th and 18th. Dice and character sheets are all available to play. Anyone can join! Players create unique fictional characters and work together as a team to explore fictional worlds, battle monsters, and compare epic quests through shared imagination, rules, and dice rolls.
A Thousand Books Before Kindergarten: Register your child at wcplibrary.beanstack.org and keep track of your levels on the Beanstack website. Once your child reaches 1,000 books, they will receive a free book, tshirt and certificate!

Warren County Public Library Newsletter for September, October, and November 2026. What's happening for Youth: Events: Reading Buddies with Monmouth-Roseville High School Students on September 24th, October 29th, and November 19th, from 3:30 to 4:30pm. Kids pair up with high school students to practice reading and develop wonderful friendships and mentors! Book club for ages 8-12 years. We are continuing the National Park Mystery Book Series! We are on book 3. Sign up on wcplibrary.beanstack.org under the National Park Book Club. They receive their new book each month and will attend two club sessions each month! In September, we're reading book 3 and meeting on September 3rd and September 17th at 4:30pm. In October, we're reading book four and meeting October 1st and October 15th at 4:30pm. On November, we are reading book five and meeting on November 5th and November 19th at 4:30pm. In September, in honor and memory of Dolly Parton, every child may choose a free book from our book cart located near the front door. What better way to remember Dolly and celebrate Library Card Sign-up month, than with free books! In October, Halloween on the Square will be Friday, October 23 at 2pm. Join us for our annual Halloween event on the Monmouth Public Square! Walk around the square to receive plenty of treats and no tricks! All ages welcome! Family appropriate costumes please. In November, Turkeys in Disguise Contest. Take a turkey template and decorate that turkey in a disguise of a book character from your favorite book! We have 2 categories: Kids and Adults. Begins November 1 and ends November 30 with winners being announced! Turkeys available at the Front Desk. Library Learning packets: Packets filled with learning activities, book lists, recipes, scavenger hunts and so much More! Pick yous up today, Limited Numbers printed!. October: Ghost Portrait Magnets on Thursday, October 15th at 5pm: Boo! Paint some cute ghost portrait magnets for some minimal Halloween decor! November: Fall-scented sachets on Thursday, November 5th at 5pm: Spice up the season with some apple sachets full of the comforting aromas of Autumn! All month: Turkeys in Disguise: It's that time of year again! Dress a turkey as a book character and compete for "best dress!" Activity packets: Monthly packets full of trivia and activities. Each packet includes a mix of information and activities such as crafts, recipes, coloring pages, and more! For October: Fall Trivia: Autumn Skies and Pumpkin Skies.
