Almost like a speakeasy, this store wasn’t for everyone; in fact, there was a specific audience searching for these magical elixirs. Women would seek out Nella’s concoctions to use against oppressive men in their lives. However, things spiral out of control with one mistake, leaving a tangled mess that will take years to clean up. This story will take you down the rabbit hole of both suspenseful revenge and the solidarity of sisterhood with every page turned.

Gardening Series: Poisonous Plants

Bill Wallace, Master Gardener with the University of IL- Extension Service, will discuss the world of “poisonous” plants. A plant can be medicinal, deadly, or both depending on its use. Learn more about these families of plants that can do both harm and good.
