Now that we are in the next Phase of the Illinois Restore Plan, the Warren County Public Library is open to the public. The Library has been deep cleaned, and we have adopted new cleaning protocols. Returned items are quarantined for several days before being reshelved.
We are happy to serve you in person once again, with a few modifications, which include capacity limits and social distancing. At this time, visits to the library are limited to checking out items and using the computers. “Hanging out” is not permitted. To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, toys and play areas are unavailable and our meeting rooms are closed.
While in the building, patrons are expected to maintain 6 feet from others and wear face coverings (unless medically unable). To reduce the number of individuals in the library, please consider sending one person per family. Curbside service continues as an alternative for families and at-risk individuals. In addition, the first hour of the day (8 a.m.–9 a.m.) is dedicated to seniors and other at-risk groups. All others are asked to wait until 9 a.m. before entering the building.
Internet computers have been spread out and may be used for up to one hour a day, by reservation only. Please call the library at 734-3166 to reserve a time slot. (If a longer session is needed, please speak to our staff. We may be able to accommodate your request.) Due to the limited availability of internet computers, casual web browsing and gaming are not permitted at this time.
We look forward to the future when all restrictions are lifted and we can again be a place to gather and socialize. Thank you for your patience during this time. Please contact us with any questions.
